Teachers from public schools throughout the country are registering to participate in TIM Faz Ciência, an initiative from Instituto TIM which will distribute teaching material for science subjects to public schools. The material is aimed at students in the 4th and 5th year of Primary School and will also be available for download from the TIM Faz Ciência portal. The project is yet another way Instituto TIM expresses its commitment to science education for Brazilian children and will involve 2,000 teachers from all across Brazil.
The teaching resources include printed materials, a website and an online course for teachers. On the portal it will be possible to see interviews with specialists on the teaching of science, access other reference material and download resources. Any educational establishment can download the content, but only public schools will receive printed materials for free by mail.
