Until November, at least four new courses will be online on the TIM Tec platform. Three of them are in the recording stage: Back-End Development, given by teachers Marcos Barretto and Diego Cueva, Introduction to Programming in Java Language and Android Programming, by Marcos Barretto and Rafael Gonçalves. The fourth course will go into the recording phase in late July: Production of Educational Videos for Web, given by Catiucia Klug Schneider.
“The courses are designed to create a professional profile on the participants,” says Marcos Barretto, professor at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. “A lot of people are interested in learning and cannot access these kinds of material. The platform has an easier teaching methodology because it is interactive – we work with animations, audio, screenshots. We program and show how we do it simultaneously,” he adds. TIM Tec classes are free and in online video format, in Portuguese.
“I hope to reach a population that has difficulty accessing technological content. It can be people from big cities or from far away, but those who do not have physical access to the classes and depend on the internet. It reaches a lot of people on the platform, even outside Brazil,” said the teacher. Even he has begun to put into practice the dissemination of knowledge: “I work in a community project called International Development Innovation Network (IDIN), in Vila Nova Esperança, Cotia. I want to increase their potential with some TIM Tec courses. The community currently has 6,000 people,” he says.
It is expected to have 17 courses on the platform until the end of 2014. In the coming months we will published the courses CMS Editor_Wordpress, Games Development (sequel to Game Design), Introduction to JavaScript, Introduction to the use of Database and SQL, Image Editing and Treatment and Information Architecture and System Design. There are currently six courses available on TIM Tec. Visit the platform to access them.
