Entrepreneurship is already a reality for 48 million Brazilians between the ages of 18 and 64 years old (36% of the population). And among those who have never started a business, having their own business is the 4th most mentioned dream – behind only traveling around Brazil, buying a home and buying a car. These data from the research Global Entrepreneurship Monitor 2016, supported by Sebrae and conducted by the Brazilian Institute of Quality and Productivity (IBQP), show the strength of the entrepreneurship in the country. To support this scenario, the TIM Tec platform launched a series of courses aimed at micro and small entrepreneurs.
The courses were developed based on a demand from the Department of Professional and Technological Education of the Ministry of Education (Setec/MEC), a partner of TIM Tec. Setec’s goal is that the institutions of the e-Tec Brasil Network that have deployments of the TIM Tec platform also offer these courses to integrate initial and continued education for professional qualification in entrepreneurship. In the TIM Tec platform, the courses are open to anyone, but they are especially aimed at those who are becoming an individual microentrepreneur (MEI) or those who intend to open/have opened a micro or small business.
Four specialists in the field were responsible for conducting the courses: the entrepreneur Alan Edelstein, the expert in Finance Teco Medina, the businessperson Reginaldo Silva and the lawyer Flávia Meleras. The course Entrepreneurship 1: Undertake with purpose helps students to find a business opportunity connected to their life purpose. The second course of the series, Entrepreneurship 2: How to plan your business, explains all the steps necessary to start a business of your own. And the course Entrepreneurship 3: How to evolve your business teaches processes and strategies that help leverage a business.
All courses use as example the success cases of four Brazilian entrepreneurs, interviewed by Alan and Teco exclusively for the classes. The series of entrepreneurship courses extends the portfolio of the TIM Tec platform to 28 courses. Find the complete list here.
