Instituto TIM\u00a0ended 2014 with the mark of 80,000 people directly benefited through its projects throughout Brazil. The institution continues in 2015 with over 10 initiatives underway. Among them are O C\u00edrculo da Matem\u00e1tica do Brasil<\/a>, TIM Faz Ci\u00eancia<\/a>, Mapas Culturais<\/a>, ZUP – Zeladoria Urbana Participativa<\/a> and TIM Tec<\/a> projects.<\/p>\n

One of the highlights last year was O C\u00edrculo da Matem\u00e1tica do Brasil. Through it, students from 2nd to 4th year of Primary School participate in recreational and cooperative classes where participation and self-reflection are encouraged, according to the teaching approach created by Harvard University professors Bob\u00a0and Ellen Kaplan. In 2014, over 14,000 classes of the project were held in 67 public schools of S\u00e3o Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Duque de Caxias, Bras\u00edlia, Porto Alegre, Salvador, Fortaleza, Aracaju, Bel\u00e9m and Porto Velho, which benefited around 8,000 students.<\/p>\n

The TIM Faz Ci\u00eancia program also presented positive results. Created to invite students and educators to explore the intellectual operations (observing, verifying, classifying, questioning, developing, applying\u00a0and generalizing) for the production of scientific knowledge, the action reached 251 municipalities, benefiting around 70,000 students and training over two thousand educators.<\/p>\n
