Public schools students and teachers from Recife-PE and neighboring municipalities now have free transportation to Espa\u00e7o Ci\u00eancia, located in Olinda-PE. Through the support of Instituto TIM to science and technology museums and centers<\/a>, Espa\u00e7o Ci\u00eancia acquired three school buses so that more students could visit the exhibitions and scientific activities promoted by the museum.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese buses will enable an increase of 80,000 visitors a year at Espa\u00e7o Ci\u00eancia. It is a very significant contribution,” said the museum’s director, Antonio Carlos Pav\u00e3o. The buses are also used for special events. On October 20th, 80 students from Professora In\u00eas Borba School took the transport to check the activities of Espa\u00e7o Ci\u00eancia organized for the 12th National Week of Science and Technology<\/a>, held from October 19th to 25th. The visit was accompanied by the representative of the Instituto TIM Felipe Le\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was well organized, lots of fun. We had a different day, we learned experiments that we can do at home,” said 9th grader Atalia Thayllane Barbosa. \u201cWe are very grateful to Instituto TIM for giving us this great opportunity to visit Espa\u00e7o Ci\u00eancia and give us a chance to learn more about many important things,” said student Beatriz dos Santos Silvestre, from the 2nd year of High School.<\/p>\n

Between October 28th and 30th, public and private schools will have free shuttle from Espa\u00e7o Ci\u00eancia to the 21st Ci\u00eancia Jovem, one of the largest science fairs in Brazil. Promoted by Espa\u00e7o Ci\u00eancia, the fair takes place at Classic Hall, in Olinda, and will host this year more than 300 projects from students and teachers from all over Brazil and Latin America.<\/p>\n
