The proposals set to participate in the Academic Working Capital program in 2015 have already been selected. Among the chosen Final Projects is a portable paper recycler, an eucalyptus seedling selector, Phari (a solution for the transmission and receipt of information that employs Bluetooth technology) and Cycle (a hardware that uses LEDs to form images on bicycle wheels while in movement). The authors of the selected proposals are students from USP (University of São Paulo), UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), UFSCar (Federal University of São Carlos) and FGV (Getúlio Vargas Foundation).
“They are very strong teams, with solid backgrounds and experience. We received work of the highest quality, aimed at expressive gains in the technological base and within an array of topics, from education to sustainability,” highlighted mechatronics engineer Diogo Dutra, the program’s content coordinator.
From July 13th to 16th, the teams will take part in the first on-site AWC workshop, focused on the initial business plan structure. Participants will be able to exchange impression and collaborate to enhance the projects, under the guidance of guest specialists and program monitors. The event, to be hosted by the Polytechnic School of USP, will also be holding lectures on technology, entrepreneurship and innovation.
