More 13 projects were selected in the 2nd call for the Academic Working Capital’s 2016 edition. The 34 new participating university students will receive financial, technical and business support so they can transform their senior research project in a technology-based business. They gathered to other 15 groups that have already been participating in the program since the beginning of the year.
The groups selected in the 2nd call are formed by students from 13 higher education institutions from 10 cities: Bagé (RS), Campo Largo (PR), Curitiba (PR), Foz do Iguaçu (PR), Joinville (SC), Patos de Minas (MG), Santo André (SP), São Caetano do Sul (SP), São Carlos (SP) and São Paulo (SP). On May 7th, 14th, and 21st, they will attend to an online workshop that will approach the contents from the Workshop I, carried out on January 18th and 20th at the Polytechnic School at the University of São Paulo (Poli-USP).
The students will yet participate in two more live workshops in July and December, besides presenting their projects in the AWC Investment Fair, carried out at the end of the year. All the groups will be followed-up by AWC’s monitors throughout the year to define the business and to build the prototypes.
