The Instituto TIM’s 2021 Activities Report is available bringing transparent information about the projects and actions carried out over the past year, as well as the main numbers and testimonies of participants. In the midst of so many challenges imposed by the continuity of the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences, Instituto TIM reinforced its commitment to continue contributing to the development of Brazil, working towards a more connected and innovative society and promoting education to new opportunities through technology.
The projects shown in the report are the Academic Working Capital initiatives, Instituto TIM-OBMEP Scholarships, Bateria do Instituto TIM, the Círculo da Matemática do Brasil, TIM Tec and TIM Faz Ciência; and the actions developed in partnership with the organizations Instituto Biomob and Instituto Dara focused on food security for people with disabilities and in situations of social vulnerability The publication also provides information about the new partnership signed by Instituto TIM with the NGO One By One, which offers inclusion for people with disabilities.
All these projects and actions contribute to six Sustainable Development Goals: Zero Hunger and Sustainable Food Production; Health and wellness; Quality Education, Gender Equality; Decent Work and Economic Growth; and Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. The 17 SDGs are a global agenda adopted during the United Nations Summit in September 2015 with global targets and commitments to be achieved by 2030. These goals, which encompass social, environmental, economic and institutional issues, guide the construction and implementation of public policies aimed at social development.
