The TIM Institute announces the opening of applications for the 2024 edition of the Academic Working Capital (AWC) program. Students from Brazilian universities, in any state, have until August 31, 2024 to submit their innovative proposals. The program aims to encourage the creation of startups through the development of Undergraduate Theses (UTs), offering technical, business and financial support.
To facilitate participation, the AWC team has opened a pre-registration phase. This way, those interested can register their details and receive support in structuring their proposals. This initiative aims to ensure that projects are well prepared and have a greater chance of success.
Those selected will take part in a journey of entrepreneurial education aimed at transforming ideas into viable prototypes and scalable businesses. Participants will have access to face-to-face and online workshops, as well as interactions with experienced innovation mentors. One of the highlights of the program is the final event, the Investment Fair, where the students will be able to present their solutions to potential investors, expanding their opportunities for growth.
A new feature of this edition is the offer of psychological support to participants who request it. This support aims to help students deal with the social and economic challenges that may arise during the development of their projects, promoting a healthy environment for all and contributing to the permanence of the participants.
Applications must be made exclusively online at awc.institutotim.org.br, where interested parties will find the application form and all the necessary instructions. The projects will be assessed by a judging committee which will consider criteria such as entrepreneurial attitude, technical capacity, technological innovation and relevance to Brazil’s challenges.
