Instituto TIM brought to Brazil a new approach to the teaching of Math to children, O Círculo da Matemática do Brasil. In this context, Harvard University professors Bob and Ellen Kaplan, creators of the approach, came to Brazil to train 50 educators. Now, Instituto TIM has made a series of 17 videos available online, which record the main moments of this gathering and can be accessed on O Círculo da Matemática do Brasil channel on YouTube.
In these videos, Bob and Ellen explain the approach, what motivated their creation and what they think about Math and Math teaching. There is also a session of O Círculo da Matemática do Brasil, conducted by the couple, with a group of children, pedagogical discussions with teachers and experts opinions on Math teaching in Brazil.
