The Blumenau Mais Cultura platform, a deployment of the Mapas Culturais tool, was officially launched on March 3rd at the Main Hall of Blumenau City Hall. The event was attended by the mayor, Napoleão Bernardes; the president of Instituto TIM, Manoel Horacio; the president of the Cultural Foundation of Blumenau, Sylvio Zimmermann Neto; the president of the Municipal Board of Cultural Policies, Mariana Girardi; as well as civil servants from the Foundation, artists and people who are interested in culture.
“The people of Blumenau are flattered for being part of this exclusive group, that have the support of active and collaborative participation of all those involved in this important tool,” said Napoleão Bernardes. During the ceremony, the Mapas Culturais team presented the platform and its benefits, and Sylvio Zimmermann stated that the Cultural Foundation is one of the oldest culture institutions of Santa Catarina, in operation for 62 years. Manoel Horacio, from Instituto TIM, said that the partnership with Blumenau is a great honor and recalled that the institute works on creating strategic solutions to democratize science, technology and innovation, promoting human development in Brazil.
Blumenau Mais Cultura/Mapas Culturais is already online, but in a temporary address. The teams from Cultural Foundation are registering the official spaces and projects on the platform. Besides Blumenau, Mapas Culturais has been deployed in São Paulo, Sobral and in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
On March 4th, the day after the event, a training session was held with the teams that will use Mapas Culturais in Blumenau. The platform was presented to the municipal departments of Communications, Promotion and Cultural Activities.
