The TIM Tec MOOC platform (https://cursos.timtec.com.br/) reached the milestone of 3,000 people enrolled in 11 courses already published. In total there are 3,023 students registered on the platform. In the first months of the year, around 10,000 people visited the website – 4,645 new visitors in February and another 4,432 new visitors in March. To watch the classes, you need only to register on the website timtec.com.br. The courses are open, free and online, and are in line with the Technological Axis: Information and Communication of Pronatec (National Program for Access to Technical Education and Employment).
The 11 courses available are HTML5 – Introduction to the Front End, Game Design, Introduction to PHP Programming Language, 7 Lessons for Text Production, the course for educators TIMFaz Ciência, Introduction to Programming Logic, Introduction to the use of database and SQL, Digital Publication in Mobile Devices, Image Editing and Treatment and Information Architecture and System Design – and the JavaScript: concepts and libraries course, which was published on the platform on April 1st.
Six other courses are in the post-production phase: Introduction to Programming in Java Language; “Introduction to the creation of websites”; “Android Programming”; “Game Programming”; “Back-end development” and “Production of educational videos for web”. The new courses will be published throughout 2015.
