The 2nd call to participate in the 2017 edition of the Academic Working Capital program is open. Groups can be formed by 2 to 4 students of any undergraduate course, as long as the group coordinator is enrolled in the senior year of an undergraduate course in Engineering or Computer Science and performing the Final Project (TCC). This year, subscriptions are also open to students from eight State Technical Schools (Etec) in the state of São Paulo (click here to learn more). The selected groups will receive financial, technical and business support to turn their project into a real business.
All registered projects must be technology-based and have the possibility of becoming commercially viable products. Groups of university students groups must apply to a pre-subscription on the AWC website to receive via email instructions, proposal template and required documents for subscription, which can be concluded until April 13th. It will be accepted projects from students from the Federal District, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo.
As for Technical High School groups, students from the following Etecs will be able to participate: Tereza Nunes (São Paulo), Martin Luther King (São Paulo), Getúlio Vargas (São Paulo), Bento Quirino (Campinas), Julio de Mesquita (Santo André), Aristóteles Ferreira (Santos), Rosa Perrone Scavone (Itatiba) and Jorge Street (São Caetano do Sul). Groups from these Etecs should contact the directors of their institutions for guidance on registration.
The results of the selection process will be announced on April 25th, and the chosen groups will participate in the first online workshop on April 29th along with the groups selected on the 1st call.
