Applications open for AWC 2023: Transforming TCC projects into innovative businesses

Applications are open for Academic Working Capital (AWC) 2023, a program aimed at university students who wish to transform their TCC (Course Completion Work) projects into successful ventures. The announcement is available on the official website of the program.

Since its inception in 2015, AWC, a program created by TIM Institute with a network of experts and partners, has already held seven successful editions, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation among young Brazilians. Throughout the program, students have the opportunity to attend workshops, undertake fieldwork, and receive guidance from experienced mentors. The highlight is the Investment Fair, in which participants present their projects and prototypes to potential investors. These activities aim to prepare students for market challenges, enabling them to put their ideas into practice.

Anna Carolina Meireles, Senior Manager of Sustainability and Social Investment at TIM shared her expectations for AWC 2023: “We want this edition to have a diverse group that represents the Brazilian scenario and we want to increase the number of participants who formalize their businesses at the end of the cycle in addition, we look forward to strengthening ties between current, former and potential investors.”

Applications for AWC 2023 will be open until June 5th. Groups of students consisting of 2 to 4 members can participate, one of the conditions being that at least one of the members is enrolled in the TCC subject in 2023. This edition will select 20 teams and will last for 9 months. It is worth noting that there are no restrictions on the course or educational institution of the participants.
