The Blumenau Mais Cultura platform, deployment of the Mapas Culturais software in Blumenau-SC, is already online. To officially mark the launch of the system, created by Instituto TIM in partnership with the Cultural Foundation of Blumenau, a ceremony was held on May 29th at the Noble Room of the City Hall, to an audience of cultural agents, public administrators and the press.
The president of the Cultural Foundation of Blumenau, Sylvio Zimmermann, demonstrated the use of the tool to those present. “It was an old city demand we were able to achieve. With the platform, the cultural census, which was conducted every 10 years, can be made every 10 minutes,” he said. Besides Zimmerman, the opening table was also attended by the mayor of Blumenau, Napoleão Bernardes, the president of the City Council, Mário Hildebrandt, and the representative of Instituto TIM Carlos Eduardo Spezin Lopes.
“The platform values what is the very essence of culture, which is for all of us to be the protagonists,” said the mayor. In early May, a workshop was held to train agents and cultural entities for using the system. Zimmermann also commented that he intends to organize a hackathon to show the tool to citizens.
Mapas Culturais software was also adopted in the municipalities of São Paulo-SP, São José dos Campos -SP, João Pessoa-PB and Sobral-CE and in the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Ceará. In the cities of Santo André -SP and Santos-SP and in the state of São Paulo the system is being deployed.
