Mapas Culturais project, developed by Instituto TIM in partnership with the São Paulo Municipal Department of Culture, will be present at the National Meeting of Municipalities on March 18th and 19th, in Brasília-DF. The theme of the event, which is organized by the Brazilian Association of Municipalities (ABM), is “Challenges and possibilities for 2014”. On both days of the event, mayors from all over Brazil, technicians and municipal managers will have the opportunity to get to know the Mapas Culturais platform better at a stand dedicated to the project.
In addition, the Meeting will host a round table discussion on, amongst other themes, cultural mapping – “Paths and Possibilities for the Development of Municipal Culture Plans”. It will be on the afternoon of the first day of the event, at 2pm. The minister of Culture, Marta Suplicy, will be present, alongside the municipal secretary of Culture for São Paulo, Juca Ferreira.
The program of the National Meeting of Municipalities will include debates on the daily governance of Brazilian municipalities, lectures and discussions with the presence of ministers, government secretaries, representatives of public and private institutions, administrators and other authorities. President Dilma Rousseff will be present at the official opening ceremony, on the 18th, at 5pm.
